Rabbi Stefan Weinberg

Rabbi Stefan J. Weinberg has led Congregation Anshai Torah since its founding in 1998. Known for its strong connection to Israel and commitment to youth, the congregation thrives under his leadership, serving over 550 families in the Dallas metroplex. Rabbi Weinberg holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, a Bachelor of Hebrew Literature from the University of Judaism, and a Master of Hebrew Literature from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, where he also received his rabbinic ordination. He has held numerous leadership roles, including co-founding the Dallas Jewish Coalition for the Homeless. A proud husband of Yaffa, father and grandfather, Rabbi Weinberg has deep ties to both Dallas and Israel.

Rabbi Michael Kushnick

Rabbi Michael J. Kushnick was ordained by the Jewish Theological Seminary in 2013 and holds a Master’s in Jewish Education. He has served congregations across the U.S. and Canada, bringing a passion for youth and family engagement to each community. Rabbi Kushnick created programs to connect young adults to Jewish life and has spent summers at Camp Ramah and the NATIV Program in Israel. He holds a Bachelor’s in Jewish Studies and Political Science from Indiana University. Rabbi Kushnick grew up in South Florida and enjoys cycling, swimming, and spending time outdoors with his wife Talia and their two sons, Nadav and Levi. Served Associate Rabbi for 12 years and is honored to become Senior Rabbi July 1, 2025.

Rabbi Helene Kornsgold

Rabbi Helene Kornsgold is the Director of Lifelong Learning and is passionate about Jewish education and making Judaism accessible and joyful for all. She earned a double degree from Barnard College and List College at The Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) before completing her Master’s in Jewish Education and Rabbinical Ordination at JTS in 2006. She and her husband, Alon Avital, enjoy ballroom dancing, and she has a deep love for rescue dogs, having volunteered at shelters in California and North Carolina. Their dog, Bailey, is a beloved part of their family. In her free time, Rabbi Kornsgold enjoys Pilates and, of course, ice cream!
