Youth Scholarships for 2018

Anshai Torah Men’s Club is a not-for-profit social auxiliary group affiliated with Congregation Anshai Torah of Plano, Texas. Men’s Club maintains a Scholarship Fund for the purpose of raising and distributing funds to assist young people in having meaningful Jewish experiences.

In 2017/2018 Men's Club will award $9,000 in scholarship money for three separate scholarships:

  • Camp Ramah Scholarship: One Anshai Torah youth will receive a need-based scholarship covering $2,000 towards the cost of a summer session at Camp Ramah, specifically for first-time campers from a family that would otherwise be excluded due to the cost of attendance
  • USY / March of the Living Scholarship: One Anshai Torah youth will receive $500 toward the cost of either a United Synagogue Youth (USY) program or the March of the Living annual mission trip
  • Jewish Camp & Activity Scholarships: Ten to fifteen Anshai Torah youth will receive merit-based and need-based scholarships of $200 up to $1,000, totaling $6,500 to help attend a Jewish camp, retreat, convention, trip, educational opportunity or activity
